1. REMOVE: Principles of Amer Democracy for the Spring Semester ONLY- 12th Grade.

          2. ADD: Genetics for the Spring Semester ONLY- 12th Grade.

          3. CORRECTION: Algebra II change title to Common Core Algebra 2AB.

(If you are not making a correction but instead are notifying them of a low grade or change of schedule spring semester, please the reason for it. If you got good grades in most classes, also highlight that on your email)

Things To Keep In Mind If You Want To Have A Succesful Year!!!

 

1. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

2. MEET ALL DEADLINES 

2. CHECK YOUR EMAILS AND COLLEGE PORTALS                         REGULARLY

3. VISIT THE COLLEGE CENTER'S CALENDAR & WEBSITE            FOR EVENTS AND IMPORTANT UPDATES

4. ASK FOR HELP & USE AVAILABLE RESOURCES

August - November

  • The University of California and the Cal State University systems will no longer require the SAT or ACT for admissions.  They might use them for English and Math placement.  If you still want to register, make sure you send your scores to one UC & one CSU  when you register.  The December 2022 test is the last one they will accept   SAT College Board  and ACT ACT 
  • August 1-November 30, 2022-  Apply to University of California (UC's) at University of California.  Submit your application from Oct. 1- Nov. 30, 2022. 
  • August 2022- January 2023 Apply to private universities (Dates vary)  Common App
  • September 2022-June 2023 -Apply to scholarships. Access a list on the college center's website.
  • TBD- Submit a copy of your UC application (up to the activity section) to Mrs. Corona for review!!
  • October 1-November 30, 2022 - Apply to Cal State Universities at CAL State .
  • October 1, 2022-March 2, 2023 Apply for financial aid at FAFSA  (if you were born in the US or are a permanent resident) OR at DREAM Act (if you are undocumented but have attended school in the US for 3 yrs and do not have a visa). You will need your parents' 2020 tax information, if they file. For maximum financial aid, submit it as soon as possible. Three days after you submit your financial aid application, create a webgrants account at My Grant Info  to check your Cal Grant award.                                                               
  • October 1,2022-February 15, 2023 Private University Applicants must also complete the CSS profile CSS Profile College Board  for financial aid purposes.
  •  FINANCIAL AID presentation check calendar.
  • October 21,2022- Last day to submit  copy of your completed CSU application for review to Mrs. Corona.
  • October 1, 2022 - May 2023-  Apply to a community college CCC Apply  as soon as the application opens. 
  • November 30, 2022- Last day to submit your UC  and CSU applications. Don't forget about EOP section for  CSU's. 
  • November 2022 - May 2023-  Apply to a community college CCC Apply  as soon as the application opens. 
  • Create university portals and check them regularly. 

 December

  • Dec. 1st, 2022- Submit a copy of your completed common application for review to Mrs. Corona.
  • Create university portal accounts and check your "TO DO LIST" regularly. Don't miss deadlines.
  • SAT & ACT are not required this year but if you want the university to consider scores, send them this month.

January - February

  • January- Notify universities of any class schedule changes or low grades from Fall semester. 
  • January- Create university portals and check them regularly. 
  • January - May 2023-  Apply to a community college CCC Apply  as soon as the application opens. 

March – April

  • Receive notification of Admissions from universities. 
  • Check your Cal. Grant Award at Web Grants 4 Students.
  • Review your financial aid award letters from universities. Make an appointment with Mrs. Corona.
  • Visit universities that accepted you.

May

  • May 1, 2023- Accept admissions to the university of your choice. submit your Statement of Intent To Register (SIR) for Fall 2023 with a deposit ( if required).
  • Sign up for Orientation.
  • Complete the housing application.
  • Accept or decline your financial aid award on your university portal account. 

July

  • July 1, 2023- Official  final high school transcripts due to UC campuses.
  • July 15, 2023- Official  final high school transcripts due to CSU campuses.

 

REMEMBER: SENIOR GRADES STILL COUNT! Campuses could retract admissions if you receive any D’s or F’s during senior year.
